Malwarebytes Web Protection Review

Malwarebytes is a great product, but it has some problems that prevent it being a good option for everyone. It is one of the reasons it costs more than many of its competitors for a single device subscription. Its also not quite as robust as other devices in terms of features.

Malwarebytes offers multiple layers security, including web protection as well as ransomware protection. It also provides adware and malware protection and detection and removal. It also has strong real-world protection capabilities, including results in AV Comparatives tests that consistently rank it among the top programs in its class (August 2022 – October 2022).

Customers who pay for the service have access to these features, as well as many others. They can control the program’s settings by clicking on the corkscrew icon in the lower-right corner of their dashboard. It opens a tab with seven sections that allow you to alter the program to your preferences. These include notifications, the frequency and at what times it is checking for updates to threat intelligence and scan options, as well as other visual preferences, such as the theme.

The premium version has advanced features, like exploit protection. This protects against attacks that use bugs and vulnerabilities within applications and systems. Malwarebytes also detects and blocks browser lockers, prevents the cryptojackers in your browser, and also stops other scams attempting to steal your data or money online. It also identifies and block phishing websites. It’s unfortunate that it doesn’t offer the type of identity theft protection that its competitors do however, that could change soon since it recently acquired Cyrus Security, a company that provides those services.
